You all, thank you for all your comments, attention, and e-props  You all take care!

  • Dear friend,

It´s being such a long time since I last wrote you. I must confess I miss you. Things are fine fine around here- I hope it remains like that. Carlo has spent some time in the darkness but now he´s found the light. He´s got another site, he says he´s playing… well, as long as he doesn´t burn the pizzas he makes, that´s fine!

I have met a nice friend who has given me some nice tips to my blog- hope from now on people will be able to see the pictures I post.. He said he´d come to Sao Paulo and I hope he´ll have a grat time!

I miss Caetano´s comments at times. But I understand his lack of time. Seems like he´s in love, and I´m glad for him.

Talk about missing, I have finally chosen a nice French course, so that I won´t miss some blogs I´m sure that are really interesting. An old friend has recently visited my new house. He was the first one to welcome me on my first blog. Good to see he is around…

Wanna hear some good news? Nessie and vivek are back- I think!!!! they have posted something on their blogs… hope they keep doing it…

Sid is back too. And I´m more than glad for that. During those past weeks, he´s the only one who reads what I write But that is a different kind of writing.. That is private…

Meanwhile, I have been listening to some good music and attending my yoga classes- by the way, long time no see jemanjam…guess he´s too busy at his classes.. no more time to write?

I haven´t had much time to travel and I wish to find some good information reading Mr. Davison´s advenctures… That can fulfil my hunger for knowledge in this meantime.

Dear friend, I have to go now. You see? It is cold here in this cafe, and the cheesecake is almost over. That means it is time to go… As soon as I find something interesting, I will write you. I´m looking forwad to hearing (reading) from you again.

    Love ,

    Shy

  • Internet in our future…(?)

  • I am home….

Back from Rio, I won´t mention much about it now. I have taken lots of pictures and imagined reports to write here but, before that, I must say I just felt I was in heaven!

Rio is much more than people hear about, It is a city full of charming details. Sadly, three days was not enough to see it all…but I´ll be returning soon.

One thing I´m sure. It was surely the most amazing birthday I have ever had. I was in an amazing place, with wonderful people, and somehow, everyone that mattered was there with me too. Somehow…somewhere..

Thank you all for the comments while I was in the woods! I was missing you guys too!

“I´ve made great effort in order not to laugh at human actions, neither deplore nor hate them, but to understand them.”

Haven´t got much to write, just wanted to mention this quote above that i read in a book some time back and it made some sense to me. And actually undesrtaning is one of my favorite words now a days.

Talk about days, I´ve been having good experiences for the past ones. It is not my style (yet?) to use Xanga as a diary, but I did feel like sharing some good things with you.

My room mate gave me a book yesterday. It is a picture book by Bradley Trevor Greive, The blue day book. It is a kind of cheer up book, filled with gorgeous animal pictures and simple lift humor sentences. So simple, and so effective! I have started reading it on a train on my way to work, and believe me you all.. I just could not stop laughing! I recommend browsing it next time you stop by any book stote. Trully!

Anyway, I´m traveling on Thursday- and so is  most of Sao Paulo population, as for the holiday..- and hope to soon come back to Xanga and share some nice experiences. Believe me, Rio is not only Carnival.. And I do hope to see some of “dveras” (damn, how i wish i knew the link thing!) comments on my Rio de Janeiro report too!

Next trip will be to Curitiba- South Brazil- and I´m sure I´ll have “GauchAngel” comment too. And who will comment my report on my trip to India?

    You guys take care!

    Have a nice … week!

ps. It is the third time I mention Rio on the site.. wow, I´m way too excited!!

  • Individualism

I have recently read a great novel by Henry James
Thoreau, Walden, where he records his often sensitive
and perceptive observations of nature. The possibility
of man living in nature intrigued him greatly and he
resolved to test the possibility of such a life.

He went to live in the woods. He did so in order to
discover the simple essentials of life and then clarify
    its meaning for himself.

He actually wrote that book at a time when the United
States, after its independence, became an impending
growing nation. This brought some aspects to American
    character:Individualism.

Ok, there is independence here. I have it. In all terms.
Such independence gives a great sense of value and
achievement.  So that explains my wanting to go to the
    woods?

I see. There are some woods around, but there is lack of
time to really reach. Then I decided to start watching
nature at home. It is a beginning. I have started
observing Alpha and Omega- my two fish. Got bored. Gave
up. almost slew on the sofa…

The thing is. Reading is good, observing nature is
really lifts someone´s soul, and breathing some fresh
air..hhmm (don´t remember what that is anyway!) But if
one does it just to search for answers that are inside
of oneself.. individually..then why look anywhere else?

as for me.. I have decided to to to the woods. And to
other places too. For knowledge and pleasure too. And
will share them with you all I think. At least Rio will
    be a good start!

    You all take care!

Ps. Saturde will sure tell me I was confusing (and confused)here (at
least I hope he reads it…Always think of him when I
write ) but he will understand it. I´m sure!

    lets  learn from nature..hahaha…

    Tip:

I sinserely recommend some reading on these two writers from the Transcedentalism. I enjoy reading Thoreau, but I have to confess that Ralf Waldo Emerson is my favorite.. Anyway, have fun, you all!!!
