Another holiday…
I know now why I find it so hard to have some fun in São
Paulo during a holiday. For the past 10 years I have
managed to ‘escape’ from here in every opportunity.
Surely that was long before going to College and having
my own house. I have to mention now that, the city
becomes amazingly pleasant when empty. I find it fun to
be in here now.. at last!
There was another holiday yesterday. On November 2nd,
people go to churches and cemeteries to light candles
for their deceased beloved ones. I must confess I
preferred to pray for the ones who are still alive,
though…
Anyway, I also visited an art gallery and saw something
really interesting that I wanted to share.

Knowing the great masters of the world painting is now a
fun activity here. The cartoonist Mauricio de Souza has
idealized a project called “História em Quadrões”. In
it, he portraits some of the most important works of the
greatest painters in humored parodies. One of the aims
of the project is to get people, specially children,
closer to art concepts therefore raising their interest
in it.
The exposition will be here until December. It will be
in some of the most important cities of Brazil after
that, then it will go to the USA and Europe. If you
have the opportunity to check it out, I truly recommend
it!
You all take care!

“This is the world we live in
And these are the hands we’re given
Use them and let’s start trying
To make it a place worth living in.”

I’d love to check it out.
I’m tryin … Im tryin
I don’t deal well with holidays anymore as either they cost money or bring saddness.
I don’t think I like the idea of the old masters being put into funny forms, who was that one supposed to be, not the Mona Lisa I hope. I am furious I couldn’t get on this morning my server said I couldn’t be connected.so have to do all my visits before I can tackle this stupid picture transference stuff. Netscape are closing and I have to put all my stuff off there on to their new one. I am not having much luck with all the photos. let alone getting much on to Xanga. Thanks for your visits. Cheers Portia

I agree… people need our loving thoughts and prayers when they’re alive more than when they’re dead.
Hi Shy,
I could not load your site, the xanga Gods are at me again,I suppose.Your right,is better be nice when people is alive and not wait they will be dead to be nice. For me is no choice, they are to far away to visit,so ,I have to keep them in my head.
Nice site,is in all languages, also in Italian.

That *is* interesting…I don’t totally agree with it, but it’s an idea…

happy thoughts = happy people… pretty simple, eh?
Eu adoro Maurício de Souza, por vários anos foi meu maior passa tempo (revistinhas da Turma da Mônica) e por diversos outros minha inspiração.
