Something short…
Someone asked me about it.. let me be brief!
Christmas celebration in Brazil is not that different
from any other part of the world. There is no snow- as
we are in the Summer, but pictures of snowmen can be
seen everywhere… Other imported X-mas symbols from
the North Hemisphere can be seen all around places!
There are Malls full of lights, huge decorated trees,
some guys in santa claus- and children around… and
people shopping…HHmm…
Stressful… Fun, I agree, but this year I could not
find any reason for doing such rituals!! I preferred to
spend the holiday eve alone, just thinking, and feeling
it. It was kind of weird at the start, but it was good!
It was different!
For the first time, I really wanted to figure out what
this date is about. Maybe being alone was not a right
choice, but I really did not feel comfortable to add any
other characters to it. Also, I really don´t agree with
the idea of having this kind spirit just during this
time of the year.. HHmm…It was worth it!
…But I didn’t escape the other day! My family and some
relatives got together for lunch! And there was fun, and
talk, and turkey…the works! Just like anywhere else.
Sometimes it is nice to watch things from a different side.
And this year I felt like hugging people knowing exactly what I meant when I wished them a Merry Christmas..
