*Listening to Yanni
wishing I were somewhere miles away from here…
Psalms 46:4 says, “There is a river whose streams make glad the city of God.” Sometimes as we travel down our stream we forget or lose sight that other streams are flowing with us, and they are just as much a part of God’s people as we are. Together we form a river that makes happy the city of God.
The problem today is an old problem. The different streams spend so much time and energy trying to prove why our stram is better. Even those of us in more modern streams or simpler streams we tend to spend a great deal of time and enery trying to prove our belief and our whys. Wouldn’t it be better to accept the other streams and even flow with them for the purpose of building the Kingdom?
Just some late Thursday night thoughts!

Thank you for the lovely thoughts, its always a journey, your blogs
you are absolutely right!!!!!!!!!! all streams have their advantages and disadvantages, but that makes them no better or worse than the others! they should all flow together in unison…think of how they can change the land if they did!
I agree what you say Shy . Various streams make the grand river of the Kingdom whose Ezekiel speaks also in his latest vision . We cannot impose 1 stream .

I have heard a term “co-belligerent” where you decide to disagree on some things to stand together to fight for some more important ideals. That always helped me think through this. In my faith we have a saying that goes something like this:
“In essential, unity,
In non-essentials, grace,
In all thing, love.”
…acceptance of self is acceptance of others. Through the process of true self acceptance one can not but accept others.

i agree that yanni’s music helps lift you up. you’ll wish you’re somewhere serene and filled with tranquility. oh, i so longed for calamity.
I personally believe that people shouldn’t have to prove themselves to others. One should only give satisfactions to him/herself and God. Unfortunately, when people around you start trying to prove themselves, you’re forced to join them. But don’t worry. People with good hearts are recompensated in the end.
Me too, wishing for something miles away.
n good thoughts those r too.
i wish ive nights like these…such intense thought-provoking times!
the streams never go in the same direction, never together, diversity is a very important thing in evolution. We have to search to know what is the good stream. It looks that you know quiet weel the good direction Shy. I don’t.
