  •  Excuses
I tried to capture you on this page as you are in my mind, but these colours are too flat or the wrong shade, or this paper has the wrong texture. These shapes do not come to life beneath my hands; this figure holds you tentatively, imperfectly. My fingers are more attuned to the minor twitches needed to produce cursive writing than the long smooth strokes involved in sketching. But you see, I did try…

  • Thank you so much for your comment! You really cheered me up.

You know this blog reminds me of someone I once knew, she had this fantistic idea for a story and had planned the whole thing out, even drawn little maps and stuff. When I told her she should write it, she looked at me with fear in her eyes.
“I can’t do that, I would never do my characters or my story the justice it deserves”

I told her that it didn’t matter, because her characters are not alive, her story isn’t alive untill she tells it. When she brings life to the story by writing it, only then will she be doing it justice.

  • beautiful…sometimes i find that my hands can never recreate the images in my mind…..probably most of the time, actually.
