  • Swing Wine

I’m startin to get back into the swing of writing again! I’ve posted a few things on my other page. Feel free to check it out here. I always feel better after writing. I’m not talking about writing in here in my blog, but actually putting down on paper (or electronically as it is nowadays) the poems or stories that float around in my head. It’s kind of a cleansing process. I put on some music, light an insence, maybe get a glass of wine, and just let the craziness flow out of me. Of course a lot of it is driven from whatever chemical in unbalanced in my brain at the time, but it still feels good to express the feelings that are derived from that. I dunno why, but it just feels good.

Have a good weekend you all!

  • Hey Lotus, nice new background! I like your writings a lot!

  • As Vineet says I feel the same thing you do, writing makes you feel better. It is a pity I don’t read very good Brazilian. I have to write in Italian to feel good.

    Have a great weekend.

  • I don’t think you are unique in writing your best when you are sad; I’ve kept journals for years and, looking back over them, I am struck by how much of my writing is “pained”. The explaination is simple; when life is good I’m engaged in life; When it is bad I withdraw into myself and strive to understand my perdicament. I even have a half-baked theory that creativity is broken love; That love is a quiet conduit of strength that passes between individuals and that creative people are flawed in their ability to give and receive love so they radiate their love (or their pain) in feats of creativity that are directed at no one in particular.

“Poetry is not a turning loose of emotion, but an escape from emotion; it is not the expression of personality, but an escape from personality. But, of course, only those who have personality and emotions know what it means to want to escape from these things.” — T.S. Elliot

  • Sometimes when I have an idea in my head I cannot sleep . So I get up and write . Automatically I am relieved and then I can sleep . This means i agree with you Shy . The word liberates . The WORD .

  • Writing is a cleansing process. It releases the energies inside you, both negative and positive.

I wish I could understand what you write in the other blog in Spanish

  • But of course! Where was my head? Portuguese that is!
