Bliss…
Have you ever been outside and everything is so beautiful to look at it almost hurts? The sky is a brilliant shade of cerulean blue, lined with a soft layer of misty white clouds. Over to the left is a clump of bushes, a loud but attractive yellow-green. The rust on a bridge overhead shines brilliantly in the sunlight. A semi passing by causes my breath to catch, because it is just the right shade of orange. Everywhere, color and sunlight. Warm colors, brilliant colors, off-setting each other, meshing into a diverse but cohesive landscape; a balm for my eyes, my senses, my soul.
That’s how I’ve felt recently, when I’m outdoors and I take the time to look around.

ol’ joe campbell had it right – bliss is where it’s at!
yes. i grew up in the mountainous region of the philippines. the sea, the mountains and the rice fields…. it’s absolutely perfect. i would always go up the rooftop to get the best view of the gorgeous sunset.
this is ’cause it’s your soul that wills to see the beauty
oh yes…i sure have!!!! and it is those times when i am in love with the world!!
missed you too!!!
Oh yeah.. been there quite a few times!
You have the eye of an artist and not just because Cerulean Blue is the most commonly used pigment for skies! Have you noticed how the sky graduates into a much deeper and richer blue that seems to have infinite depth the further you look up.
same here .. of course my vocabulary doesnt quite match. but boy waking up early and seeing the sun rise is so awesome !
It’s great, huh?…The older I get, the more I remind myself to STOP and LOOK…
” brilliant shade of cerulean blue,” wow ! very poetic and words really chosen . At a point I have forgotten what cerulean means . But this has not importance in front of such a bliss . And the ocean , Sheila ? Where is it .
What is its blue shade ? I tease you a little .
I like this blog
